| This is a PM
Activity of Bhubaneswar Parivar decided to be carried in October 2006.
We could organise the cleaning activity at the famous Sri Ram Mandir
in the heart of Bhubaneswar city on 2nd November 2006 only, based on
permission given by the Mandir, as on that day A Geeta Gyna Yagna was
also performed inside the temple premises, presided by Jagatguru Sri
Sankaracharya.
• All the PM members assembled in the temple premises at 6.00 a.m.
• After surveying the area and putting up the banner at a prominent
location, it was decided to clean the front portion of the temple,
followed by clearing of the garbage scattered in two Gardens, Mantap
and back yard of the temple.
• Accordingly, we started the cleaning activity from the front lawn
of the temple.
• All the polythene bags, Gutkha pouches, papers and dry leaves were
cleaned with brooms for half an hour.
• At 7.00 a.m. the entire team moped the front floor area of the temple
with detergent and water.
• At 7.30 a.m. the back yard of the temple was cleaned. There was
some water logging and we have cleaned the small drain of the temple
for passing of water to main drainage line.
• The main priest of the temple expreseed his happiness for the noble
activity carried out by us and informed us to take this type of cleaning
drive regularly, so that, the temple premises will be very neat and
tidy.
• On lookers and devotees also highly praised our action and some
of them joined in the cleaning activity and to motivated us.
At 8.15 a.m. all the parviar members sat in the lawn for a brief discussion
to decide our next course of action. The next meeting has been scheduled
for the Second Saturday to carry out Nov'06 activity, which shall be
at the most popular Biju Patnaik Park situated in the Central place
of Bhubaneswar. We propose to have cleanliness drive in the park combined
with a Yoga camp. The Yogacharya would teach us Pranayam and Assans
at 6.30 a.m.
