Painting Competition and Awareness Campaign in Saraswati Sishu Mandir

Since monsoon is over, we decided to do a different type of activity.  Accordingly we approached Pradhan Acharya Sri. Ramakrushna Tripathy of Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Unit-VIII, Bhubaneswar to organise a Painting Competition in their School. Mr. Tripathy was kind enough to accept our request and permitted us to conduct the competition in their school.

The PM Co-ordinator and other Parivar members made preparatory arrangements.  The Painting competition started at 3.00 p.m. The response was very good and all students were very enthusiastic to participate in the programme.

To begin with the programme PM Co-ordinator welcomed everyone and spoke about our objectives. She has emphasized to plant more and more plants and keep the surroundings neat and clean.

Mr. P.K. Tripathy, CM (BSS) in his speech introduced all the Parivar Members to the students.  He has narrated the purpose of Paryavaran Mitra and made everybody aware about various types of pollution and our duty to safeguard the environment.

Mr. Ramakrushna Tripathy, Pradhan Acharya of the school is a lover of nature and in his speech he explained the highest importance to protect the environment and advised all students to involve actively to protect the same.  The Art Teacher also gave some basic ideas to students on how to draw the paintings.

After the meeting the painting competition started. We distributed painting materials to the students. Some of the students came with really good ideas and painted in a very nice manner.

After Painting Competition the Drawing sheets were evaluated and the best three paintings were ranked. CM (BSS) and Pradhan Acharya distributed prizes to the winning students.  At the end of the programme we distributed light snacks to the students.

Within a month or two the School will be shifted to their new building.  Pradhan Acharya requested us to plant some saplings with wire guard in the school.  He has also informed to provide them a Flex Banner with PM Objectives, which he has assured to install at the entrance of the school. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks.
