Forest Deptt. & Paryavaran Mitra & Citizen Forum for Equality organized an environment awareness programme at Japanese Garden, Seminary Hills.
Hon. Satish Chaturvedi Guardian Minister is a regular morning walker in Seminary Hills. When he saw NGO’s & Forest Dept. Official celebrating World Environment Day, he volunteered & joined the movement.
Dr.Rambabu the first conservator of Forests of Nagpur Forest Division welcomed all participants & desired that avoiding pollution of thoughts will remove all pollutants’ in the environment.
Shri Kishore Tuteja who runs a laughter club in the city expressed concern over global warming & increase in water of sea level.
Shri.Madhukar Kukade President of Citizen Forum assured that Forum will render help to all officers & NGO’s who has concern for environment.
Shri Satish Nautiyal senior most Geologists who retired recently guided the participants as to how Deccan trap has been formed & inform us that petrol (oil) in the rocks of Nagpur district cannot be found.
Dr.N.R.Ugemuge who is author of “Nagpur District Flora”, narrated as to how to identify plants. He said that classification in Flowering & Non-flowering plants. Second seed & covered seed i.e., Angiosperm & Gymnosperm & Third Monocots without equal division e.g. Rice / Wheat. Dicots (With equal tow devising e.g. Gram / turdal).
Shri Nana Ladkat Divisional Forest Officer Vigilance (Nagpur Forest Circle) spoke on identifying the birds from their calls & it is right time to identify birds from their calls since their mating starts. Birds get maximum protein by eating insects which are plenty during rains. He said Nagpur climate is good for bird life.
Shri J.P.Kantharia head of Paryavaran Mitra (Nagpur Branch) thanked all & read out message detailing the programmed to be organized. After this program volunteers had a cleanliness drive at the same place. All volunteers collected Non-Biodegradable from walking tracks containing wrappers of Gutka, Bisleri bottles & other wrappers.
Shri Rajendra Sight Bhangu conducted the program & requested all not to pollute 1) Air, 2) Water 3) Sound & 4) Soil.
Dr.Rambabu conservator of Forests wished all people to collect a few seeds of Neem (Azadichta indica) & sow the same in bushes. |
