.At the end of the Program students took Oath to ‘Be A Paryavaran Mitra and Try to Improve Environment to the Best of Their Ability.
Due to shortage of space we have repeated this half an hour program thrice with students of class 7, 8 & 9 separately.

Class 9 students, at the end of the awareness program, took the oath to improve their school environment. They were then asked to come forward voluntarily to take part in School Cleaning Drive. Many students shown keen interest but ultimately 14 students were selected for the activity.

Volunteers themselves selected the place for the activity. Accordingly PM Coordinator and other representatives along with the student volunteers went to the Play ground which was found to be very dirty. The entire field was cluttered with plastic and paper packets. Three Broomstick, Two Boxes (Used Cartons of BEL) and used Cement bags were taken to clean the field and collect the waste.

In one and a half hours time volunteers have collected all the plastic and paper packets separately, swept the entire field with broom stick and gathered the dry leaves at one corner of the field. They have collected two boxful and five bagsful of wastes.

Students also identified the reason of the problem. They said that students mostly bring fast food or biscuit or chips packets; many also buy food from local vendors, which also come in plastic or paper packets. There was no waste bin near the field, where student come to take their food.

\ The volunteers were asked to keep the two card board boxes in the field, one for plastics and non biodegradable and one for papers and biodegradable wastes. These waste bins can then be put in the garbage vat later on by the school cleaning staffs.

\ They were also advised to set up a compost pit at the backyard and produce manure from the organic waste.

They were also shown keen interest to make their fellow students aware about doing such cleaning activity and mostly keeping the school clean.
The Headmaster congratulated the students and thanked Paryavaran Mitra for doing such activity, He also asked students to follow all the cleanliness and eco friendly habits.
