Activity 1 : Awareness Programme & Plantation
Towards PARYAVARAN MITRA initiatives from Branch to mark World Forest Day and World Water Day, Ahmedabad PM Parivar conducted two activites, on 21st March 2007.
PLANTATION We visited " KAMLA NEHRU GARDEN" at UTTAMNAGAR, MANINAGAR & planted saplings on the occasion. The PM Parivar members highlighted to the gathering at the garden on the importance to save " trees".
WATER SAVING Awarness towards water saving was highlighted to the gathering. Members of the PM Parivar-Ahmedabad, explained certain tips to the gathering how to use minimum water in our daily life. Further, it was brought to the notice of the people that "RIVER GANGA" may become dry in next 100 years & it is one of the oldest renowned rivers out of 10 rivers which is on the verge of drying out.
The gathering appreciated our awarness program by congratulating our PARYAVARAN MITRA TEAM and wished us to conduct more activities to spread awareness towards "SAVING NATURE"
Activity 2 : Awareness Programme on Cleanliness & Saving of Water

Members of PM Ahmedabad, Ms. Asha P. Patel and Mrs. Vandana Shah approached a group of women who always join for get together and social activities at Park. Our members explained the full group towards cleanliness drive / water saving aspects.
Towards cleanliness they have been educated to place one common big dustbin at their society in a common place (at a corner), exclusively for dumping wastages and garbage. PM members informed them that the said Dust Bin will be made available by Municipal Corporation office on providing some common information (such as Name of the society / situation / No of families residing, etc). In regard to Saving Water, they have been given many tips of which they were unaware of.
All women gathered whole-heartedly appreciated the objectives of PM and are willing to meet once again to join hands for the betterment of the Nature with us.
