In her Presidential address, Kiran Bajaj said, “I extend an evergreen welcome to you on this journey where we are all members of the crew. There are no passengers.

Thanks to our BU heads and vendors who have put in a great effort. But the journey ahead is rather long and arduous. The damage done to our environment will take all our strength and resources and we need to prioritize. Who can do what and how soon?

The Indian Vedic culture worships nature and the sanctity of environment. Our
festivals revolve around this.

Why can't we then adopt the religion of environment? Let us begin with a small step…or should we say a small drop of water. Let us conserve every drop of water we can. This is crucial to the future of the planet.

Nature's survivalist interdependent with culture. If we don't start now, we will soon be left with nothing but a wasteland.

Our methods of polluting the environment has seeped through water, entered the soil, and poisoned the air and our body…it won't be long before the ill effects will be felt in the psyche of people around us, leading to violence and other appalling effects.

The wise learn from mistakes made by others. Ordinary people learn from their own errors. Fools learn from neither. I leave you to make your own decision…
