Event: Awareness Drive during Sawan Mela
Venue: Shiv Ganga Ghat near Baidyanath dham temple & Deoghar Railway station

During SAWAN month (mid July to mid August) approximately 50 Lac people come to Baidyanath Dham Temple at Deoghar from all over India including Nepal to worship LORD SHIVA and take part in the religious festival called sawan mela. It is one of the most important Hindu festivals.

In order to attract the attention of the devotees and to make them aware of environmental issues Paryavaran Mitra representatives from Patna Branch, Mr.Somnath Banerjee, AM-LUM, Mr. Arup Chakrawarty, TSI-LUM Ranchi & Mr. Rupesh Kumar, Coordinator, Paryavaran Mitra along with the Mr. Amar Pal and three staffs of Kanta Electric, local dealer, visited the Baidyanathdham temple, took permission from District Commissioner of Deoghar in order to carry out Awareness drive and display banners near the temple.

Banners were displayed at Shiv ganga ghat beside the temple, where the devotees come and rest for a while before entering the temple and at the shop of our Local dealer Kanta Elec.Co., Deoghar. The shop is on the main road to station and would draw attention of all customers and passers by.
Representatives of PM displayed PM banners at the Deoghar railway station and directly interacted with people to make them aware of what least we can do to help our environment.
